Doctors:


 
Dr. Travis Taylor is a Virginia/Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine graduate.  He enjoys spending time with Dr. Crystal Taylor, their son Grant, Harley their Great Dane, and two mischievous cats, Emma and Carrot.  In his free time, Dr. Taylor has been working to complete an MBA program through George Mason University. He enjoys working outside and gets to assist with the family’s developing vineyard.  He is also an Adjunct Professor for the NVCC Veterinary Technology Program and mentor for Virginia Tech Veterinary students.

 
Dr. Crystal Taylor joins Centreville Animal Hospital as a two time Hokie.  She received her B.S. Degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech and then attended Virginia/Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine on the Virginia Tech Campus for her DVM degree.  She loves spending time with her husband, Travis, who also attended VMRCVM, their son, Grant, and their furry Great Dane daughter, Harley.  She also enjoys watching the antics of her two cats, Carrot and Emma.  When not at the hospital, she enjoys her other passion -- winemaking.

 
Dr. Rhonda Pierce joined the Centreville practice in 1997 after graduating from Iowa State University in 1994. She lives with her husband, Daniel, who is a Deputy Sheriff in Fairfax; they have a daughter, Caleigh, and son, Clayton. Dr. Pierce has a wonderful Doberman, Titan, who joined the family in mid-2010. Completing her family is the much loved parrot, Jackson.  She is an active member of her church and in her spare time, Dr. Pierce enjoys reading, hiking, jogging, and spending time with her family.

 
Dr. Sandra Pickard joined the practice in 1998. She and her husband, Al, have a son, Carl and a daughter, Mackenzie. She actively assists our clients' in experiencing the human animal bond with their pets. Dr. Pickard is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Her Beagle, Dixie, joins us at the practice frequently and many clients know her well.

 
Dr. Allison Hagner joined our practice in 2005. She received her undergraduate degree from Washington University and her D.V.M. from the VMRCVM. She lives with her husband, Chris, and three children. Her family includes three cats: Amy, Emily and, Bob. She is very active in her church and enjoys singing, gardening, traveling, walking and spending time outdoors with her family.

 
Dr. Robin Jones grew up in Alabama and graduated from Auburn University Veterinary College in 1995.  After serving as a military veterinarian for 3 years, she left to join the civilian world working in Tennessee, Texas, and now Virginia.  She joined our practice in 2007.  Her husband, two sons, and daughter enjoy her time off playing games and keeping all four very active.

 
Dr. Kathy Wainwright obtained her D.V.M from the Virginia/Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After veterinary school, she completed a one year Small Animal internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey, gaining experience in general practice as well as emergency and specialty medicine. She currently lives in Arlington with her cat, Tayen and enjoys activities such as running, hiking, triathlons and soccer.

 
Dr. Marsha Teets graduated with honors from Virginia/Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) in May 2011. Prior to veterinary school she worked here at Centreville Animal Hospital for 4 years, including working as a licensed veterinary technician. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Teets greatly enjoys hiking and playing a variety of sports, especially soccer. She also loves watching football and of course is a big Hokies fan. She has 3 mixed-breed rescued dogs and 3 cats at home: Smokey, Trooper, Chunky, Oreo, Shadow, and Buddy.

L.V.T.s:


 
Stephanie is our Head Licensed Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at NVCC in 1993 and has been with us since 1997. She is accredited in the Veterinary Dental Assistant Program and is responsible for our pet nursing program. Stephanie and her husband, Tom, live with their two sons, one dog, and three cats.

 
Becky came to us from Harrisburg, PA having graduated from Tri-County Technical College in South Carolina with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She grew up in the Ivory Coast, West Africa, which gave her a special interest in Exotic animals. She recently purchased her first home, where she enjoys gardening and interior decorating. She owns a Chihuahua, Mikey, a cat, Chloe, and two Cockatiels.

 
Tasha began working with us in 2007 after obtaining a B.S. in Biology from the University of Virginia.  She started out as a veterinary assistant and enrolled in the online LVT program at Northern Virginia Community College.  She graduated from the program in 2011 and is now a licensed veterinary technician.  She enjoys drawing, painting, traveling, scrap booking, playing piano and spending time with her family and friends.  She and her husband, Regis, currently reside in Centreville with their ShihTzu, Coady.

Kate is planning on going back to school to become a Licensed Vet Tech. She currently lives in South Riding with her Miniature Dachshund Suzee. Kate hopes to start traveling around the world and would one day like to work for a rescue group or foundation.

 
Jeremy has lived in our area for many years. Since he is from a military family, growing up meant few pets and many homes around the world. He and his wife, Kelley, have a cat and two dogs. Jeremy's Jeep is his life outside of work, but it is definitely secondary to married life.  He always keeps us energized throughout the day.

 
Margaret has been working as an assistant since 1998. She lives with her husband, Mike, son, Thomas, and their dog Annie. Besides working, Margaret's interests include hiking, jogging, reading, movies, horses, and going out to eat. Margaret is a Virginia girl by heart – she grew up in Lexington, Virginia and graduated from Mary Baldwin College. She also earned a Master's Degree in Psychology from Hollins College.

 
Lisa joined us in August 2010 as an assistant. She came to us with experience from another veterinary hospital and loves working with animals. She has a cat named Abby. Lisa enjoys movies, jogging, and getting together with her friends in her spare time.

 
Megan joined the CAH team in September 2008. She graduated from Lake Braddock High School in 2007 and is working to pursue a career in Veterinary Science. She currently resides in Centreville with her Beagle mix Cali. In her free time she enjoys concerts, camping, the beach and cheering on the Washington Redskins.

 
Hunter has been with us since March 2005 as an assistant and a receptionist. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2010 with her degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences.  She is currently a veterinary student at the Virginia/Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  At school she has her dog, Roman, to keep her entertained and two more dogs at home, Newman and Hudson, that she loves to see on her breaks.

 
Michelle joined the team at CAH in August 2006. She is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and hopes to one day work with the country’s soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Michelle and her husband were married in October 2007 and live in Centreville with their Hound mix, Gracie, three cats, two ferrets, and a small parrot.

 
Shannon started in September of 2009 as an assistant. She came to us from another animal hospital, so she has lots of experience. In her spare time she likes to read and cook, hula hoop, and play with her son. She lives with her dogs, Samantha and Petey, and cats, Meow Meow and Cali and Snake.

 
Bradley is currently attending George Mason University and works at CAH as a Veterinary Assistant. At home, he has three dogs and three cats. When not taking care of animals, he enjoys computers and working towards completion of his degree in Engineering.

 
Brittany started in July 2010 as an assistant. A military brat, she was most recently Florida where she spent two years working as an assistant and receptionist. During her time off she reads, travels, and naps. She lives at home with her Yorkie-poos, Kirby & Brooklyn.

 
Elise Welker came to CAH in 2006 while she was working on her Bachelor’s Degree in History. After a couple years of working, she decided to go back to school to become a Licensed Vet Technician. She lives at home with her husband, Kenny, her two Bichons, Lola and Teebo, and her screamy Siamese cat, Nya.

Mayra is an international student. She is currently studying at NOVA and planning to transfer to a Vet School with the hope of becoming a veterinarian. She loves dogs and cats, but is passionate about horses. Mayra has two dogs; a Labrador named "Storm" and a Siberian Husky “Gideon”.

 
Alisia started with us in July 2011.  She enjoys pet sitting and dog walking for her neighbors and friends.  She loves to care for a variety of animals including cats, dogs, rabbits and even ball pythons!  Currently she resides in Chantilly with her 5 cats: Moccsie, Chewy, Lucy, Daisy, and Rachael; her pet rat, Coco; and her bearded dragon, Safari.  In her spare time she enjoys playing and relaxing with her animals.

 
Jordan joined us in November 2011. He has two Vizslas, Millie and Scarlet. Jordan enjoys the outdoors and drumming. Before working at Centreville Animal Hospital, he spent time working for Apple in Tysons Corner, 5th Avenue Manhattan and volunteering at Mason Neck Wildlife Refuge.

 
Bitsy started with us in September 2011. She is an avid animal lover. She has 2 cats, Freddie and Binx; three dogs, Nellie, Maggie, and Phillie; and a paint/thoroughbred gelding, Tobie. Bitsy plans on going back to school to get a Business degree and eventually open her own business. She is a former Army Police Officer. One of Bitsy’s ambitions is to educate others on the plight and stereotypes that are associated with Pit Bulls.
Ashleigh joined our staff in October 2011. Ashleigh is 18 years old and one of six kids. Her family has one cat, Lilah. In the fall of 2012, she will be starting college at Northern Virginia Community College. She plans on going into NVCC’s Veterinary Technician program and hopes to one day become a veterinarian.

Zorica joined the CAH team as HR Manager in April 2010. She resides in Reston with her husband, Josh, and their two dogs, Max and Nittany. Zorica has a BA in Communications from George Mason University. In her free time she enjoys cooking, hiking, and reading true crime novels.

 
Nadja started working with us in June 2007. She resides in Oakton with her boyfriend,Dan, and two German Shepherds, Jager and Panzer. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse and training dogs. She is a Certified Obedience and Police Canine Trainer. She currently takes classes at Northern Virginia Community College and is pursuing a career in Criminal Justice

 
Kacey joined our staff here at CAH in December 2011. She comes to us from a small town in West Virginia where she lived on a farm. She now lives in Herndon with her husband Joe and their cat Crazy. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and spending time with animals.

 
Sue has been a reception team member since 2005. She balances family life and hobbies as well as being an avid football fan - Go Packers!  Sue previously worked with the Wildlife Rescue League as a rehabber for raccoons. In addition to her husband and daughter, Sue shares her home with a large variety of animals.

 
Jenna joined us in July 2010 and she loves working with animals. She lives in Woodbridge with her husband, Puggle, and Lab mix.  She loves to travel and is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. 

 
Janelle joined us in 2001 after work experience at another local veterinary hospital. She graduated from George Mason University in December 2004. She lives in Gainesville with her cat, Charlie; German Shepherd, Zee; Walker Hound, Meg; and Cockatiels, Samson & Buddy. She is an avid snowboarder and is always ready for some snow!

 
Stephanie started working for us in 2001, after taking a veterinary vocational program at Chantilly High School and becoming interested in Veterinary Science. She has four well behaved dogs named Zoey, Crumpit, Zeeba and Nasir.  She also has 2 cats named Bugs and Casimir that keep her dogs in line.  She loves German Shepherds, Beagles, and coffee. 

 
After graduating in 2008 from ECSU in Connecticut, Dina moved to Germany. Upon her return she joined us at CAH. She and her husband have 2 adorable (and very loved) Cornish Rex cats. In her free time she enjoys reading, movies and playing with her 2 cats.
Nicole joined our practice in 2010 where she started in kennel and as a scrub nurse. Nicole is now joining our receptionists up front. She graduated from Paul VI High school in 2009 and she is currently majoring in Biology hoping to pursue a career in Dentistry. She lives in Fairfax with her Yorkie-poo Brooklyn. She loves shoes, anything that is chocolate, and going to the beach. She loves animals, but is terrified of squirrels.
